All right folks I'm calling it quits on this site. I just don't have the time to keep up with you all. Anybody who has requested any artwork from me please let me know of an alternate way I can get your pics to you when they are done. I am genuinely interested in a lot of your artwork and what you may come up with and grow into as artists, but I'm just going to have to chalk that up in the loss column. I passed Portfolio. It was one hell of a nerve-racking day, but last Wednesday I got the okay from the all mighty Surdo. Later today I have to present my portfolio before an unknown amount of people, so I have to get all dressed up in a suit (which I have never done before) and I dread that moment. After a short summer break I go all out in the final class of my collegiate career in which I must make my demo reel. That one minute and thirty second summary of my life so far that will determine if I am job worthy in the eyes of industry professionals. I may already have a job, but this is still very important to me. Have a nice day everybody.

Well I got to see the game we were working on for the first time during the final presentation last friday...got to tell ya...it really sucked. It's functional, but nowhere near the level I thought we would have it. I was a little down because I worked my ass off for this, and it's just not fun working hard toward a bad result. I would like to continue working with my programmers to clean it up because it's probably going to be on display at this years Siggraph, and I kinda don't want to display a shitty product. However, there doesn't seem to be much interest there on their part. Siggraph is a big deal to me, but it's just not an interest to the majors and careers that they are pursuing I guess.
On a much better note, my portfolio class is going well. We just had our midterm evaluation and I'm right on track. Still debating whether to post work from my portfolio or not. We'll see. That's all for now. Have a nice day.

I just set up a website in preparation for my upcoming portfolio class and subsequent demo reel. Its [link] (shameless plug). Still very much a work in progress, still need to get some custom html in there.
My classes are done for this quarter, but the next quarter begins this monday. Also this friday is the half way presentation for the UIC/LSU game competition that I'm working on. Even though I'm on break, I'm not sleeping or resting very well.
Another massive crop of my friends graduated this quarter and I wonder what the hell I'm still doing there. I'm close to entering my fifth year in a three year program (damn you financial aid). But if all goes well I've only got 6 months left.
Oh yeah, I got a job offer from a small game company. Very exciting.

I have finals all this week, but I can't stop playing Resident Evil 5.
